XGHLD electromagnetic flowmeter (heat meter) consists of two parts: sensor and converter. It works based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquids with a conductivity greater than 5u s/cm. It is an inductive instrument for measuring the volume flow of conductive media. In addition to measuring the volume flow of general conductive liquids, it can also be used to measure the volume flow of strong corrosive liquids such as strong acid and alkali, and uniform liquid-solid two-phase suspension liquids such as mud, pulp, and paper pulp. Widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, light textile, papermaking, environmental protection, food and other industrial sectors and flow measurement in municipal management, water conservancy construction, river dredging and other fields.

working principle

According to the principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction, a pair of detection electrodes are installed on the tube wall perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube and the magnetic field line. When the conductive liquid moves along the axis of the measuring tube, the conductive liquid cuts the magnetic field line to generate an induced potential. There are two induced potentials. The detection electrode detects that the value is proportional to the flow rate, and its value is:

E=B·V·D-K

In the formula: E = induced potential;

K=coefficient related to magnetic field distribution and axial length; B=magnetic induction intensity;

V = average velocity of conductive liquid;

D = electrode spacing; (measuring tube inner diameter)

The sensor transmits the induced potential E as a flow signal to the converter. After a series of digital processing such as amplification, transformation and filtering, the instantaneous flow and cumulative flow are displayed by a dot-matrix liquid crystal with backlight. The converter has 4-20mA output, alarm output and frequency output, and is equipped with RS-485 and other communication interfaces, supporting HART and MODBUS protocols.
